company profile

The Institute of Flight Systems and Automatic Control (FSR) performs application oriented research in the area of aeronautical systems engineering. Main goal is the development of innovative technologies to enhance flight safety, efficiency and environmental sustainability of aviation. Actual research subjects are human-machine-interaction in the cockpit, pilot assistance systems, the management of heterogeneous air traffic and the noise and emission impact of departure and landing procedures.

contribution to opstimal

The Institute of Flight Systems and Automatic Control (FSR) supports Jeppesen in the conception, implementation and evaluation of an optimization system for flight paths. The main focus will be the development of a system that connects the pilots to the optimization. The system will support the pilots in all flight phases with information displays and user input. All work of the FSR will take place within workpackage 1: “Flight Plan & Trajectory“.
